Hi, speedrunner with the name of...

§9PLAYERNAME§r

You completed §dSpeed Run 64 §eMULTIPLAYER!

Though, not completely...

Figure it out your self, §9PLAYERNAME§f...

If you liked the map, stick around for more potential content!

There will be a lot of it, trust me.

Now that you completed the map, §9PLAYERNAME§f,

I'll tell you the full story of events that is about §dSpeed Run 64§f,

It all started at the end of May 2024.

I was thinking about what I would do during the entire summer holiday.

I had already been on §bBlox Universe§f since April 2024.

That was when my creativity finally kicked in:

I decided to make something no one else had made: §cSpeed Run 4§f in Minecraft.

It is a nostalgic, memorable game that almost every child first played on Roblox back in the day, just like I did.

Much later, after I had finally recreated §bLevel 6§r, §2Ivory (IvoryBeats)§f told me that he had tried to make §cSpeed Run 4§f in Minecraft with a friend,

but unfortunately, they gave up at §5Level 3§f.

Coincidentally, I also almost gave up at §5Level 3§f (right after I rebuilt §eLevel 2§f in the early stages of this map!).

However, I was determined and managed to get through §5Level 3.

Speaking of the early stages of this map, §eLevel 2§f was completely recreated twice.

I tried to make cactuses instantly kill entities upon contact, but that attempt ruined everything.

It instantly killed any entity with a repeating command block.

I did not know what to do, as I had a poor laptop that could not handle five instant kills per second, causing my FPS to drop significantly.

So, I recreated §eLevel 2§f again.

At least I still had §2Level 1§f saved in a recent backup at the time.

This was also the moment when I completely erased the older §cCurseForge§f profile for this map, as I tried to remake the profile to see if that would prevent me from dying instantly for some reason.

That foolish idea made the profile in the files appear newer, but only by about two weeks.

A few months passed. In September, I met §6Kjoentie§f and simply asked if he would like to test §dSpeed Run 64§f, which had 10+1 levels at the time.

It went well!

I also wanted to release this map, but with a poor trailer and no experience whatsoever.

I immediately decided to make the trailer private and abandon the idea of releasing §dSpeed Run 64§f for quite a while.

During that time, nothing new happened, apart from the new levels I recreated from §cSpeed Run 4§f.

In January 2025, I invited §dJondoe1000th§f to test the bug-free levels from 1 to 10+1, with a few levels kept back.

That also went well!

I made more levels and features. In March 2025, §dJondoe1000th§f tested the new levels from 11 to 15.

Of course, that went well too.

This was also (almost) the day when §9Colecurt§f made his tribute to the background music (the Tutorial Level).

Nothing new really happened during the summer break for §dSpeed Run 64§r, as I was stuck with §aGeometry Dash§r, making stinky layouts that are still stinky to this day.

Though in late July 2025, I started to panic about the §dSpeed Run 64§r trailer, begging §dJondoe1000th§f to PLEASE record some clips of the map for it.

And so he did, because he is an absolute BEAST with his charming personality and godly PC.

August arrived, and I gradually eased into uploading and publishing §dSpeed Run 64 §1DEMO§f!

§4Something happened...

Nothing much happened after that, except for the §6Halloween Event§f.

Before the §6Halloween Event§r, I planned to create a non-copyrighted soundtrack for §dSpeed Run 64§r.

This would include some of §5Kali the Catgirl§r's, §aShulkern§f's, and §eametune§f's music. Most importantly, I added music from one of Blox Universe's well-known members, §9Colecurt§r!

But after a long decision, I didn't want to brand this music as Non-Copyrighted, although YouTubers would be thankful for Non-Copyrighted music,

So, I just made it become a Secondary Soundtrack instead!

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Now onto Multiplayer Compat stuff...

I didn't know anything about data-packs untill I desperately needed them because of the §8Lobby §rto §2Level 1 §rtransition.

After that, I noticed that I've missed out on data-packs for the past 2 years...

I learned how to make portals teleport you to the next level, and same as reseting you back after falling off of platforms,

I learned how to make interactable text, you click and commands happen,

I just migrated from using §6Command Blocks §rto using data-packs.

Developing was much more faster, smoother, sort-of easier, and convenient!

After this realization, every tester, except §6Kjoentie§r, tested this update and things were going out of hand...

There were portals bugging due to putting @p (clostest player to 0 0 0 in data-pack knowledge) instead of @s, (the one that executes)

§5Level 30 §rhad scaling issues because of one of the tick.mcfunction,

Level Directory being a pain - the text in the chat shows for everyone, and it can only function if the executor has OP,

And other small bugs. Everything was broken.

§aAngel Wings §rdid ask for Coils to work Off-hand too.

Once I understood data-packs a bit more, everything was fixed quickly.

Then I went on to make Badges, Play Time/Full Game timer, the Stopwatch, and a few easter eggs...

I had no issues after all that, I thought it was cool to see §dSpeed Run 64 §rbeing easier to make with data-packs.

Everything written there was about the §3beta release§r, now the actual release:

First I started off by making some of the §aMinecraft Level Pack§r levels.

Completed all the vanilla levels that came from the original Speed Run 4 level set, and I came up with something truly unbelievable.

I wanted MORE levels in the level pack...

A Beach level, Cemetary level, Jungle level, Castle level, Snow level, Flower forest level, Ender Dragon level, and a Creeper themed Winners section, for some reason, a Nostalgia level adding every build from the start to earlier days of me playing Minecraft.

You might have noticed that not all levels were included, and the order of levels is incorrect.

I understood my mistake and removed a few levels I haven't built yet. Changed level orders, and added a new theme - Farlands.

Finished the level pack finally after two months. Yikes that was long...

Really stuck on Levels 9 and 10, I was unsure about the types of platforms that would be added.

I just started finding inspiration from actual Speed Run 4 levels, such as Main World Level 1 and Anime World Level 1.

I came across some "Block Display" from stan616, something I saw a year ago too, and figured I could use those in §dSpeed Run 64§r!

Well well well...

After completing §2Level 21§r's layout, I realized I could create platform outlines.

So I did.

With Level 5, once rebuilt, I won't need to insert outlines a second time if I were to rebuild Level 5.

The same applies to §8Level 14§r, although that was much more challenging.

I wasn't comfortable implementing the outlined crystals yet for §8Level 14§r, so I just added a prototype by the starting platform.

Decided to finish the §bLevel 22§r's layout, then went to §6Level 23§r, which I hadn't touched yet because of the §eStore§r feature.

What was I thinking... One of the most stressful things I've gone through.

Won't tell the full story, but basically, I tried not being assisted by AI and instead relied on my brain and some Reddit posts. (Of course)

Though §cGems §rweren't so hard to add - could of added them in the §4PRE-CONTINUED §rupdate already.

Before adding the §eStore §rfeature, I needed to fix level positions because they were just annoying, did that, and ruined a few levels.

Only after the §eStore §rfeature added, I started to make §6Level 23§r, which was chaotic due to not planning what texture would be implemented — Rip from §cSpeed Run 4§r or a texture made by me?

I chose custom-made textures since the resized §cSpeed Run 4 §rtextures turned out to be grainy.

Finished §6Level 23§r, but the blob object wasn't so accurate.

However, I simply couldn't do anything - the platforms just limited me to extending the blob's angles.

Whatever, and quickly rebuilt §dLevel 7 §rand added the animated rainbow-fall.

I think that's all. Everything I did in a somewhat of a chronological order.

The datapacks were broken again.

But I did quickly fix everything in a week or so.

So, not a big ol' deal.

Did get me confused at times, but understood the mistakes and learned more.

I did not give up at all.

Here are some easter eggs if you haven't discovered them:

Go into the §eLevel 17 §rtemple and complete a challenge...

The §8Level 20 §rsun meant that there would be stars implemented, but I discovered that they wont be possible to create cross Multiplyer and Singleplayer worlds.

The §2Level 13 §rshack was a teaser that the §aMinecraft Level Pack §rwould be released, and it did.

If you are in a Multiplayer server or world (if you use Essential), and are OP, get The Ban Hammer from the Creative menu and hit someone...
(This only works if you set the "Function Permission Level" to 3 in server properties)

Burger.
